Why Do I Believe That 2026 Will Be a Blessed Year?
You may be wondering: Why does she think that?
Where is this certainty and conviction coming from?
And how can anyone speak about the future with confidence?
These are fair questions.
Let me be clear: I am not predicting the future. I do not claim knowledge of what is unseen. Only Allah (SWT) knows what will happen in the next hour, day, year, or beyond. Everything is within His power — to change, to facilitate, and to provide, if He wills.
So when I say that I believe 2026 will be a happy and blessed year, it does not come from arrogance. It comes from faith.
I want to tell you this today, at the beginning of the new year:
If you believe this statement — not in me, but in what it represents — you will not be disappointed. You will see how your time throughout the year will be blessed, in shā’ Allah.
Why This Message Is Coming Now
To be honest, I was not planning to post anything at all. I do not celebrate the New Year, which is why this message may feel late. According to my belief system, there is nothing for me personally to celebrate.
I am aware that many people hold different opinions on this matter, and I respect them. There are various views, and each person follows what they are convinced of. Everyone has free will. Part of mine is choosing to refrain from New Year celebrations. I will pause here without entering the debate of halal and haram — we can leave the rest to the “haram police,” who I am sure are always on standby.
Let me move on to why I felt prompted to write this.
Reflection, Not Resolutions
Recently, I had some unplanned time off, for which I am deeply grateful. It gave me space to think, ponder, and reflect on the weeks and months that passed.
Without making any special resolutions or plans, the many New Year reflection posts I saw made me think about the future. I asked myself:
Do I have wishes? Plans? Goals?
Of course I do.
There are things I would like to do, achieve, and perhaps places I would like to visit. But do I know if they will all be fulfilled? Of course not.
We can plan, set goals, prepare lists, and strive — and we should. We begin with Bismillah, do our best, and say in shā’ Allah. But we do not control the outcome.
And yet, I can say this with certainty: every outcome is positive, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
This is why we say: Do your best, and leave the rest to Allah (SWT).
He takes care of our affairs with perfect wisdom and unconditional love.
Trusting the Destination Allah Chooses
We may not arrive at the destination we planned, but wherever we do arrive is exactly where Allah wanted us to be — because there is goodness waiting for us there.
Sometimes we don’t see the wisdom immediately. Sometimes we feel disappointed, sad, or even broken. But goodness will come from it.
This is what tawakkul truly means: striving fully, then trusting Allah completely.
When you live with this trust, you taste peace in your heart and your life.
Why I Know 2026 Will Be Blessed
So how do I know that 2026 will be blessed?
Because whether what happens feels “good” or “bad,” it will all lead to goodness.
How many times have we complained about something, only to later realise that it brought us closer to Allah?
How can something be considered anything other than a blessing if it brought us even one inch closer to Him?
That is the greatest blessing of all.
Allah shows His love in many ways. Sometimes He calls us gently. Sometimes He calls us through difficulty — because that may be the only way we listen.
If it were not for my darkest moments, my hardships, and countless tears, I would not have desperately searched for God. I wanted to be close. I wanted to pray — but I didn’t even know how or which path was correct.
Those trials led me back to Islam.
And because of them, here I am today — praising Allah as a Muslimah.
Alhamdulillah for Islam.
How could I not call those difficulties blessings when they brought me to Allah (SWT)?
Take a moment to reflect:
Think of something that once felt painful but later turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I am sure there are many examples in your life.
Blessings We Don’t See
We often fail to notice the blessings in our everyday lives. We take them for granted until they are taken away — sometimes only temporarily — and only then do we realise their value.
Everything we have is given to us on loan. Nothing truly belongs to us. Every blessing has a time limit, and recognising this helps us appreciate even the smallest things.
Gratitude changes how we see life.
A Reminder for the Year Ahead
That is why I wanted to share this message — for everyone, regardless of belief, and regardless of whether you celebrated the New Year or not.
Let us begin this year with:
Tawakkul (trust in Allah)
Shukr (gratitude)
Hamd (praise)
If you live your days with trust and gratitude, you will clearly see the blessings surrounding you.
And if Allah grants us life until this time next year, I believe you will say with conviction — just as I do now — that this year was blessed. My confidence comes from faith.
I believe that 2026 will be a blessed and happy year because blessings are not the absence of trials — they are the presence of Allah’s mercy, guidance, and protection within them. A year can be blessed even when it stretches us, teaches us, and reshapes us.
A blessed year is one where:
hearts grow closer to Allah
prayers are answered in ways we may not immediately recognise
clarity replaces confusion
healing follows patience
and ease eventually follows difficulty, as Allah has promised
When we begin a year with trust (tawakkul), hope, and good expectation of Allah, we invite barakah into our lives. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that Allah says: “I am as My servant thinks of Me.” And so, choosing hope is not naïve — it is an act of worship.
I am confident in 2026 not because I know what will happen, but because I know Who we place our trust in.
If you choose to believe this statement today, at the very start of the year, I truly believe you will not be disappointed. Not because life will be perfect, but because your heart will be anchored — and an anchored heart is never lost. A blessed year is one where hearts grow closer to Allah.
My Dua
May 2026 be a year of barakah, peace, growth, and divine alignment for us all.
And may Allah (SWT) make it better than we expect. Ameen.
In sha Allah have a blessed 2026
